The defending King of the Hill has found some kings on the hill as it prepares to defend the Eastern League baseball championship.

Albany-Colonie, whose bid for a third straight title has been clouded by uncertain pitching, seems to have settled the mound problems 11 days before the playoffs open.

Scott Kamieniecki, who has been slow to return to 1989 form, enjoyed his second straight strong outing Wednesday night as the Yankees defeated the Williamsport Bills 6-2 at Heritage Park.

"It was a long time coming," Kamieniecki said, "but it's a good time to start coming around before the playoffs."
